Pignose Joins the Army in Iraq
With the help of the Charlie Daniels Band, Pignose has made itıs mark in
Iraq. Recently, the CDB traveled more than 16,000 miles and performed up to
3 shows per day for American troops deployed in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan,
Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq and Germany. Pignose portable amps were an
important part of the bandıs traveling rig.
CDB guitarist Bruce Brown donated musical equipment, including his Pignose
HOG-20 amp, to soldiers stationed in Iraq. Brown and the band are now
coordinating plans to organize more shipments of musical instruments to
American soldiers in the field.
Pignose's rugged, rechargeable, and portable HOG-20 amplifier packs 20 watts
of power into a small compartment. It features volume, tone and "squeal"
overdrive/distortion controls, as well as 1/4" input and headphone out
jacks. It is the ideal amp for a wide variety of electricity-free, outdoor
and other activities, and is built to last even to withstand the rigors of
traveling with the Army.
"I wish that all Americans could spend just one day among the brave men and women who defend this country in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Daniels. "They live in constant danger in dusty, desolate desert camps, wearing body armor in sweltering weather, missing their loved ones. My trip only re-enforced what I already knew, the American forces are the finest in the world. I can't even articulate my love and admiration for them."
